hello world! i am soon leaving the surreal landscape of africa to make my way back home to montreal, tonight in fact, which should put me into trudeau international around midday canada day (how appropriate...or not...).
i officially left the truck and my friends on the trip a couple of days ago, or rather it left me, more or less in a pile of pillows drinking a tusker at karen camp, just outside of nairobi. since then, i've had some decadent long lunches at fine restaurants in the rather posh karen area, read several books, and tried not to think about home (and failed miserably).
seeing as how i have 2 months of sweet, unemployed summertime in montreal when i get back home, i hope that you will all join me in helping celebrate my return in the near future, and over the summer helping me catch up on all the wonderful things i missed about home, like microbrews, biking, music, festivals, cheese, etc etc. and when i finally have consistent internet, i will put up some good photos of the trip :)
see you soon!
