meet my new best friend, the nikon d40x

so, my lovely camera finally arrived from dan last week! it is a marvel to behold, but since it cannot easily take a picture of itself, you'll have to just use your imagination.

a group of us rented a chalet in the far-west laurentians this halloween weekend for a little r&r in which we did nothing but eat copious amounts of good food, read books, build fires, pretend to drive tractors and have outdoor baths, listen to music, play 'rush hour', act out a murder mystery, do pseudo-gymnastics, and play an adventurous round of croquet!
